ORDU. Snow in the estern Black Sea region has given rise to concerns. First reports estimate the damage...

... at 5%. Since the countings have, however, revealed a large number of buds, market players reckon that the crop damage will be limited. Although there is no trace of panic, the prices for shelled hazelnuts have, nevertheless, risen from TRY 39.75 per kg to TRY 41.50 per kg. Demand is good and exporters need to take rising costs, especially for transport, into account. The TMO is expected to comment on the sales planned for April towards the end of the week. TMO selling prices are not expected to range below market prices.
