AYDIN. Exports from Turkey are slowly recovering and export prices have also stabilised for the time being. Market players expect a good overall result this season.

Lira gets stronger

A small crop and exchange rate fluctuations are currently causing volatility on the market. However, market players are optimistic about the further course of the season and expect a satisfactory overall export result this year as well. Dried figs are currently traded between TRY 15/kg and TRY 41/kg at the commodity exchange in Aydin, depending on the variety. The Turkish lira has gained in value again compared to last week, which is, in addition to the increased farmgate prices, another reason for the firm export prices.
