Almonds: harvest gets underway

SACRAMENTO. The penultimate month of the US almond season once again delivered strong export figures. Meanwhile, the harvest is getting underway earlier than usual in some regions. Production estimates remain at last year’s level.

Strong June exports

In June 2026, US almond shipments were significantly above last year's level, in line with industry expectations. According to the latest monthly report from California Almonds, a total of 212.982 million lbs of shelled and in-shell almonds were shipped domestically and overseas in the final month of the current season, representing a 14% increase on last year.
