TEHRAN. Although Iran’s saffron production has risen continuously in recent years and international demand is booming, the market should witness a turn this year. Problem is a mismatch in pricing. This results in the bizarre situation that while saffron is an absolute trend product in the international market, the farmers are lacking incentive to cultivate the spice.
