SACRAMENTO/MADRID. As the flowering period is approaching its peak in California, the farmers are highly satisfied with the way things are going. Spain has, meanwhile, decided to phase out the production of bitter almonds.

Ideal conditions in California

Market players state that the weather conditions are ideal in California and that flowering is progressing well. The farmers are currently busy with irrigating the orchards and adding nutrients. In addition, numerous beehives have been set up throughout. If there are no unexpected incidents, nothing should stand in the way of a good crop. California almonds are trading lower this week.
