Almonds: Price rises in the organic sector

MADRID/SACRAMENTO. The frost-related excitement is slowly subsiding in Spain. Prices are, however, on the rise in the organic sector.

Despite the reports of frost, the prices for Spanish almonds are comparatively stable. Over the last two years, the prices for Valencia have ranged on a similar between April and May as is the case this year. The prices for Largueta almonds have even declined by 0.05 EUR/kg since last week.

Differing price developments in organic sector

The prices for organic almonds are also firm. Organic Valencias, 12/14 mm, natural are trading for 7.85 EUR/kg EXW Spain. As opposed to this, this prices for organic almond preparations have climbed by around 0.25 EUR/kg over
