MADIRD/SACRAMENTO. Spot market prices have declined nominally in Spain. In the US it is, however, difficult to identify a uniform trend.

Limited supplies for some varieties

The price declines in the spot market are, however, only partially reflected in the export prices in Spain. Valencia almonds, >14 mm, are trading EUR 0.05-0.10 per kg lower, whereas Valencia almonds, 12/14 mm, remain in a stable range. The supplies for some California almonds are limited in Europe. However, the EU spot market prices for US almonds have mainly remained stable with some noted exceptions of varieties trading lower or higher. Prices in the US are firm as the export performance is highly satisfactory this season.
