What to expect

Prices will, however, largely depend on demand over the next few months. Problem is that the coronavirus has prompted a great uncertainty in the market, which has given rise to hand to mouth buying. If demand remains subdued prices will most certainly continue to decline in the new season. By contrast, it is also possible that buyers will rush to the new crop at the start of the season, in which case suppliers will have no reasin to go down in price.
