CHRUDIM/ANKARA. Poppy seed farmers in the Czech Republic are highly satisfied with teh current weather conditions for the development of the new crop. Cold temperatures may, however, cause delays in harvesting.

Prices are on the rise

Growing conditions remain good and only nominal damages are being reported in the Czech Republic. The only issue is that the cold weather may cause several weeks' delay in harvesting. Such reports should, however, be viewed with caution as several weeks remain before the harvest will start. Attention is shifting more and more towards the new season while supplies from the 2020 crop continue to decrease.
