CHRUDIM. The upcoming Christmas holidays reduce trading activity in the Czech blue poppy seed market, but this does not affect prices. According to initial information, next year's acreage could be similar to 2021.

Quality issues keep prices stable

The Christmas holidays are approaching and  enquiries in the blue poppy seed market are declining for the time being. Market players report low demand, which is not unusual at this time of year. What is unusual, however, is that poppy seed prices in the Czech market do not decline in the wake of these developments.
