Blue poppy seeds: November exports up 30%

PRAGUE/ANKARA. The Czech blue poppy seed market is still quiet after the beginning of the new year. November exports were significantly better than the year before and contrast strongly with the weak results of the previous two months.

In January, the blue poppy seed trade is traditionally a little more sluggish before the Easter business starts. This year was no exception. The Czech blue poppy seed market is therefore quiet, especially since Russia, one of the most important export markets for Czech poppy seeds, is back on the market much later than other countries due to the Christmas holidays.
