CHRUDIM. Turkish blue poppy seed exporters are competing with Czech traders in price this week. The Czech farmers are working overtime to make up for lost ground in sowing.

 

Farmers pick up the pace
Czech blue poppy seed farmers are working full steam to make up for sowing delays caused by precipitation. Reliable estimates for the actual acreage should be available by the end of this week. Official reports are more hesitant to give off estimates, with the first reliable production estimates expected by the end of June/beginning of July.
