CHRUDIM. Hardly any other production in the Czech Republic has been so disappointing than this year’s. Export prices are quickly approaching their all-time high.

Prices continue to rise

Limited supplies and the interests of the producers will continue to drive up the prices for blue poppy seeds, despite low demand. Prices are hovering around 4.10 EUR/kg DDP Germany.

Buying interest is no longer extant in Europe. The dilemma is that it cannot be ruled out that prices may rise even further after the turn of the year, whereas it is also possible that the farmers will have to go down in price if demand drops too low.
