FRANFURT. Exchange rate fluctuations have caused prices to rise in the Czech Republic. Market players in Germany, however, see no need to hit the panic button.

 

Prices rise in the Czech Republic

Due to exchange rate fluctuations suppliers in the Czech Republic are now offering blue poppy seeds at 2,35 EUR/kg DDP Germany – a more than 2% increase since last week.

Buyers are sceptical

In Germany, the cheapest offers can be obtained for 2,36 EUR/kg for free house deliveries. Prices, however, vary greatly with other suppliers asking for as much as 2,45 EUR/kg for free house deliveries. Despite the price increases in the Czech Republic, buyers in Germany reckon that the price
