NEW DELHI/ABUJA. Early arrivals have started for cashews in India. The weather has turned wet in Nigeria. Supplies are rather limited in Benin.

Early arrivals in India

As gas and fuel for commercial use has been restricted by the government traders are refraining from buying cashews in India. They reckon that the government will increase the prices and issue further restrictions for the consumption of fuel. On top of this, it is also difficult to carry cash beyond a certain limit in the key states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and West Bengal. This limits activities as most small and medium traders prefer to conduct business by cash.
