RAJASTHAN. Optimism and confidence are determining the market development in India currently. In light of the impending crop 2017, Indian traders see their big break.

Prices returning to their normal level
After prices for whole coriander seeds reached their peak on the domestic market in India in the summer of 2016, there is now a significant easing of tension to be felt.

Optimistic growers
Despite the caution recommended regarding reliable information on cultivation areas in India for season 2017, traders appear confident. This year’s low output has sparked the growers’ confidence in India. To such a degree, in fact, that the cultivation areas in the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are estimated to reach a size of almost 280,000 ha, 10% more than last year.
