MALATYA. According to growers, the frosty weather conditions in Malatya are creating optimal conditions for the apricot trees. The price increases of recent weeks have been halted for the time being, while exports are continuing at a rapid pace.

Ramadan purchases are concluded

The price increases of recent weeks have temporarily come to an end and prices for Turkish dried apricots are currently holding steady at last week's level. Purchases from Muslim countries in the run-up to Ramadan have now largely been completed and loaded. Commodity prices remain at TRY 160-165/kg for Jumbo varieties and TRY 140-150/kg for no 2 dried apricots. The export price for the latter also remains unchanged at USD 5,200/mt FOB Mersin.
