MALATYA. Harvesting is still in full swing. Export prices have been issued for dried apricots from the new crop. Shipments range more than 50% lower than last year.

Forecasts are reckoning with nighttime temperatures of 19-21C (66-70F) and daytime temperatures of 34-35C (93-95F) in Malatya this week. This is slightly lower than last week but still favourable for the drying. The harvest and exports of fresh apricots is still in full swing. Harvesting is almost complete in the plains and has started in higher altitudes. Raw material prices are firm.
