MALATYA. The apricot trees in the valleys of Malatya are already in full bloom, whilst the cold temperatures in the mountains are causing a slight delay. Weather conditions are currently ideal. Farmers are urged to take early measures to prevent plant diseases.

Weather conditions are favourable

In Malatya, weather conditions typical of the season currently prevail. Night-time temperatures are in the low single figures, whilst daytime temperatures reach mild levels of up to 13°C. Accompanying rainfall is a key feature of the current situation. Market players report that the apricot trees in the plains are already in full bloom and that conditions currently meet the trees’ needs. Snow remains in the higher regions, but the flowering phase is expected to be fully complete there within a month.
