MALATYA. The Turkish dried apricot market remains quiet, although demand is showing slight signs of recovery. Market players expect business to pick up in October. Exports have so far been well above last year’s levels.

Market remains quiet

Autumnal weather is setting in in Malatya. The Turkish Meteorological Institute forecasts a cloudy and rainy week, with temperatures expected to range from 8-12°C at night and 20-25°C during the day.

Market players describe trading as quiet, whilst demand is rising slightly. Exports are proceeding at a moderate pace. There has been no change in commodity or export prices compared with last week.
