MALATYA. Turkish dried apricot exports are significantly higher than last year’s levels. Growers are still waiting for potential purchases by the TMO. Meanwhile, prices remain largely stable.

Will the TMO still intervene?

Prices for Turkish dried apricots have largely stabilised recently. At the same time, farmers are still waiting for the TMO to make intervention purchases. While some market players are still hoping for such intervention, others assume that the TMO will no longer intervene in the market. Demand is rising slightly, and exports are proceeding at a moderate pace. In Malatya, however, a cloudy and rainy week is expected, with night-time temperatures ranging from 9 to 1°C. Daytime temperatures are forecast to be between 18 and 22°C.
