MALATYA. Farmers are waiting for the TMO to announce purchase prices for dried apricots. Prices are moving in rather strange directions.

Odd price movements

Malatya is expecting a sunny spell this week with temperatures forecasted at 16-18C (6164F) at night and at 32-34C (90-93F) throughout the day. Farmers are still waiting for the TMO to issue purchase prices for raw materials. Yet whether and when this will happen is still an unanswered question.

The harvest is finished. Prices have oddly increased, despite international demand being weak. Quotations vary hugely on a supplier basis as the market is not stable yet.
