MALATYA. In the lower-lying growing regions, farmers have now also begun harvesting apricots for dry fruit production. However, many exporters still shy away from submitting offer..

Traders reluctantly offer new crop
The farmers work their way slowly from the lower to the higher altitudes when drying the apricots. In less than a month the export season for dried apricots officially begins in Turkey.

Nevertheless, many dealers are reluctant to issue export prices. In terms of quality, a good crop can be expected, while official production estimates do match the expectations of most market participants. However, according to market participants, there should be hardly any price deviations from the current level.
