MALATYA. The governor of Malatya has announced a preliminary estimate for the new crop - but not all market players agree.

Up to 100,000 mt

As Turkish market players report, the governor of Malatya announced a first estimate of the new crop. According to this information, a good 391,000 mt of fresh apricots will be harvested, of which 344,000 mt will be processed into dried apricots. This would result in 86,000 mt of dried apricots. However, some market players believe that these estimates are too low and expect up to 100,000 mt of dried apricots for the coming season.
