In Aydın, fig growers have completed the pollination period for the time being. It should soon become clear how successful these efforts have been. Should it transpire that fruit set has not taken place to the desired extent, the farmers could launch a second round of pollination, according to market players.

Meanwhile, teams from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in Aydın are continuing their inspections at the fig markets to ensure the quality of figs from Aydın – which have a Protected Geographic
