AYDIN. In Turkey it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain any offers at all. The few available prices on offer are mainly indications. They do, however, differ greatly and buyers are urged to be cautious.

Hardly any export supplies available

Problem is that there are hardly any dried figs left in exportable quality. In addition, the farmgate prices are rather high for the limited supplies that are still available. Turkey was confronted with massive quality issues this year, which have impacted supplies. At 34,313 mt the export volume is still lagging 11% behind last year.
