AYDIN. In mid-July, the fruit set counts will be conducted. At present, the expectations differ greatly.

Exports must remain stable
Nearly 52,000 mt of dried figs and dried fig products have been exported from Turkey since the beginning of the season. Of this amount, 39,278 mt is accounted for by whole dried figs, a decrease of 12.8% compared with the same period last year. In 2017/18, around 50,000 mt of dried figs were shipped overseas. To achieve a similar volume this season, the weekly export volume of currently just under 1,000 mt may fall below this level in the next ten weeks until the start of the 2019/20 export season.
