AYDIN. Tariş has purchased twice as many dried figs this year as in the 2024/2025 season. Exporters are cautious with their offers, which is making growers nervous.

Tariş has doubled its fig purchases

Fig farmers in the Turkish province of Aydin have completed the harvest. Cooler temperatures of 23-28°C and rainfall are expected at the end of the week.

The Tariş Fig Association has completed its purchases of dried figs for the 2025/2026 season. Due to the late start of exports compared to the early start of the harvest, growers had plenty of time to sell their goods to the state organisation before the exporters became active. As a result, Tariş purchased 3,500 mt of dried figs, about twice as much as last year.
