AYDIN. Buyers wanting to purchase Turkish dried figs spontaneously have to dig deep into their pockets. The export prices have reached a similar level as last year.

 

Prices rise to last year's level

Long-term contracts concluded some time ago between Turkish dried fruit suppliers and their regular customers excepting, interested buyers now have to adjust to prices similar to those in autumn/winter 2017 – despite the weaker Turkish lira. Large dried figs for prompt delivery are trading between 5.500 and 6.000 USD/mt FOB Izmir. Traders often cannot keep up their offers for more than two days. They only offer what they already have in stock.
