AYDIN. Turkish fig farmers have started the pollination phase a little later than usual this year. So far, the prospects for the coming crop are satisfactory.

Harvest expected to start at the beginning of August

The nights of frost in mid-April, which had catastrophic consequences for this year's Turkish apricot crop, among others, are also said to have affected the male fig trees in the Turkish province of Aydin. Lower yields are the result.
