AYDIN. Ahead of the new season, more and more information events are being held in the growing regions of Aydin to ensure that growers are well prepared for the new crop. Meanwhile, the dried fig market remains relatively weak.

Tradition meets modernity

At a joint event organised by the Aydın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Fig Research Institute, growers and industry representatives came together to discuss quality-oriented and science-based approaches to fig production. Nazilli was the fourth stop in a series of ongoing district-based training and evaluation meetings aimed at improving quality and productivity, following Germencik, İncirliova and Yenipazar.
