Dried figs: price corrections after the turn of the year

AYDIN. Shortly before the turn of the year, prices for Turkish dried figs are holding their level. However, this could change soon. Exports are at a similar level as last year.

Exports similar to last year

The Turkish dried fig market is relatively relaxed. Compared to last year, exports are proceeding at a similar pace, with 2,086 mt of dried figs and dried fig products shipped overseas last week, almost 300 mt less than in the same week last year. In total, exports since the beginning of the season come to 21,235 mt, a good 1,000 mt less than this time last year. The export value in the first months of the new season is said to have reached a result of 56.42 mt.
