Dried figs: start of the 2026/2027 export season

AYDIN. Turkey is kicking off the 2026/2027 export season this week. Raw materials have become cheaper once again. The 2025/2026 export season ends with a year-on-year difference of more than 3,000 mt.

Commodity prices cheaper again

In the Turkish province of Aydın, the weather is turning cooler; daytime temperatures are expected to reach only 26-28°C, while at night they will drop to 15-16°C. The harvest is now complete.

This Monday marked the start of the 2026/2027 export season. However, according to market players, demand remains moderate, whilst commodity prices have fallen once again and currently stand at TRY 110-190/kg. Exporters continue to purchase only raw materials whose quality has been confirmed by prior analyses.
