AYDIN. Tariş has set an ambitious export target for 2025/2026. Exporters are far from happy with the prices announced by the Union. The new export season will start on 15 October.

New prices

Weather conditions are still very hot in Aydin with temperatures ranging at 21-24C (70-75F) at night and at 34-39C (93-102F) throughout the day. These high temperatures along with morning dew driving up humidity are giving rise to quality concerns. Harvesting is nearly 70% complete. The Tariş Fig Union has determined the purchasing prices for dried figs in 2025/2026. Much to the dislike of exporters, who reckon that the prices are too high as they are much in line with local trading prices of TRY 250-300/kg.
