AYDIN. Temperature fluctuations remain critical for the quality of dried fig production, even during the drying period. The new season was officially launched at the Aydin Commodity Exchange.

Drying processes are being inspected

Following the recent spell of very warm weather, the Turkish Meteorological Service is forecasting a noticeable drop in temperature in the province of Aydin over the weekend. So far, the heat has benefited dried fig production; however, excessive temperature fluctuations – particularly when combined with humidity – could compromise the quality of the crop.
