AYDIN/REUS. The final results of the yield estimation study point to a very good dried fig crop in Turkey. More information on the new 2026/27 season is expected within two weeks.

Start date for exports is expected to be announced shortly

There was light rainfall in the Turkish province of Aydın last weekend. The rain clouds had already cleared within a day, so the dampness did not cause any lasting damage to the crop. The yield estimation studies have now been completed. If the weather holds until the end of the drying period, this year’s dried fig production could reach 95,000 mt. The harvest has already begun and market players report that the first dried figs to arrive on the market are of a nice colour and very good quality.
