Flaxseed: buyers urged to wait

NUR-SULTAN/MANITOBA. As Kazakhstan is stepping up flaxseed shipments to China, Canada is becoming more and more interesting for the European market. Buyers are, however, urged not to accept offers for the new crop yet.

China grants more export licences to Kazakhstan

Offers for the new crop are very much limited in Kazakhstan at present as traders prefer to hold back. Buyers are urged to wait and until more details on the crop and prices transpire, which will enable suppliers to offer reliable contracts. Analyst Oil World, nevertheless, estimates production around 1.1m mt as yields are expected to be high, despite local drought-like conditions.
