LODZ. Kazakh flaxseed farmers want to get rid of their old stocks before the new harvest begins.

The focus is on the so-called winter flaxseed, which could not be harvested in time last year and had to spend the winter on the fields before being harvested in the spring. This generally results in lower quality.

New crop at lower prices

Polish cleaning plants are seldom willing to commit to long-term contracts, both in terms of purchasing and selling their flaxseed. Only few suppliers are already offering new crop contracts for delivery until January 2018. At 490 EUR/mt DDP Germany, the prices are even below the current level.
