Flaxseed: global oil prices to add pressure to market

NUR-SULTAN/WARSAW. The decline in the edible oil prices for soya, rapeseed and palm oil have prompted market analysts to expect the currently rather high farmgate prices in Kazakhstan to come under pressure.

Prices decline in Kazakhstan

Market players have frequently reported troubles with deliveries over the last few weeks. High farmgate prices have, in addition, put off many buyers for the time being. Subdued demand and the global decline in oi prices (rapeseed, soya, palm oil) are adding further pressure to the market in Kazakhstan. Brown flaxseed with a 97% purity is already trading lower at EUR 0.31 per kg FCA Kazakhstan. The market prices in Europe have, however, remained firm at EUR 0.54-0.56 per kg DDP Germany for brown flaxseed with a 99.9% purity . S
