LODZ/OTTAWA. Eastern European flaxseed suppliers report a slight rise in demand; in terms of price, processed flaxseeds are at a similar level as this time last year.

Steadfast
Despite the reports stating that a global decline in production is to be expected this season, prices have only nominally increased over the last few weeks, even although demand is increasing. The weather-related delivery issues from origins such as Russia and Kazakhstan have abated for the time being. Traders reckon that purchasing interest will subside again by the turn of the year.
