Flaxseed: Kazakh exports to exceed 1 million mt

ASTANA/BRUSSELS. Kazakhstan’s flaxseed exports remain at record levels. The KGU estimates this season’s export potential at over 1 million mt. Prices are showing only slight fluctuations.

Exports remain at record levels

According to preliminary national customs statistics, 126,100 mt of flaxseed were exported from Kazakhstan in March 2026, representing a 3.15% decline compared with February 2026. In total, 890,700 mt of flaxseed have been exported from Kazakhstan so far this season (Sep–Mar), representing an increase of 135.8% compared to the same period last year and already 70% above the total exports of 524,000 mt for the 2024/25 season.
