MOSCOW/OTTAWA. Prices on the international flaxseed market remain at record levels, although the situation is easing in some areas. Buyers are hoping for more favourable offers in the new year, while Kazakh producers and traders are speculating on further strong price increases.

Meanwhile, the Canadian flaxseed market is coming under increasing pressure and has long since ceased to be attractive for buyers from China and Europe. However, there were still regular enquiries from the USA, probably primarily thanks to the geographical proximity.
