NUR-SULTAN/MOSCOW. Due to the ongoing heat wave and lack of rainfall in Eastern Europe, the flaxseed crops are in very poor condition. Meanwhile, exports to China are at a standstill.

Condition is "depressing"

Kazakh flaxseed farmers are currently despairing over the persistent heat and low rainfall. Although there were sporadic rains last week, they were not heavy enough to have a noticeable impact on the crop. Market players describe the condition of the crops as "depressing", which is mainly due to the fact that in addition to the dry air, the dreaded dry soil has now set in.
