OTTAWA/NUR-SULTAN. Eastern European flaxseed is being traded at a level not seen for years. Canadian traders follow this example.

Eastern European flaxseed at 5.5-year high

According to the experts at Rayglen Commodities, the farmgate prices for brown flaxseed from the new crop are stable at CAD 551/mt FOB (EUR 355/mt), while for direct collection the suppliers charge CAD 708.6/mt (456.5 EUR/mt). Spot prices for golden flaxseed are, according to Rayglen, at CAD 787.4/mt FOB (EUR 507/mt), while offers for goods from the new crop are still not available. Supported by high prices in the Black Sea region, Canadian flaxseed prices remain at record levels.
