KYIV/MOSCOW. In recent weeks, flaxseed shipments from Russia to the EU have once again increased significantly. However, with higher tariffs, it remains to be seen how the market will develop in the coming year.

Calm market

Following the recent upward corrections, prices for Eastern European flaxseed appear to have stabilised for the time being. According to market players, prompt enquiries are waning and buyers are primarily interested in shipments at the beginning of the new year, a good two weeks before the end of the year. Furthermore, higher prices for organic flaxseed are being discussed, but this is not really reflected in the current offers.
