Monsoon above normal in June

The monsoon have arrives and have left their mark as they’ve been above normal till now. This has resulted in expectations of a bumper harvest and this will led to a decline in the imports and the prices of the domestic sugar. Due to low production of sugarcane a lot of sugar companies had to shut down earlier than expected.

As per the current market scenario there is less demand and the traders/stockists are elling of the current stock ahead of GST.

GST may have its negatives but it’s positive for the sugar industries as the purchase tax shall no longer be applicable.
