ORDU. Turkey’s hazelnut industry has received two big blows this week as the two major players Balsu Gıda and Ferrero have turned to Chile. New crop sales are already underway.

Balsu Gıda, one of Turkey’s leading hazelnut exporters along with Ferrero, has attracted a lot of criticism by driving up investments in Chile. Under Balsu Industries Chile the company started operating in Chile a few years ago and is known to own 70,000 trees there.
