ORDU. Ferrero’s offer for hazelnuts has generated a good uptake amongst suppliers in Turkey. Yet, market prices have taken a somewhat curious turn. Exporters are having trouble.

Suppliers happy to sell to Ferrero

Curiously, Ferrero’s purchasing move has failed to leave a lasting impression on market prices. Contracted suppliers had the opportunity to sell volumes at TRY 300-310/kg depending on quality and the date set for final deliveries is 30 November. Reports indicate that sellers have taken the market giant up on the offer, many trucks were, for instance, spotted at Ferrero’s factory in Düzce, in northwestern Turkey.
