ORDU. A worrying new crop estimate has emerged for hazelnuts in Ordu. Buyers are having a hard time. Ferrero’s next move will prove decisive for demand.

Worrying news in Ordu

Harvesting is nearly complete with low quality nuts of 41% randiman (kernel to shell ratio) prevailing. Concrete up-to-date numbers have not emerged in Giresun, Akçakoca, Trabzon or Samsun this week. Local representatives, however, expect the situation to be better in these regions.
