Hazelnuts: Limited raw nut supplies in Turkey

ORDU. The prices on differ noticeably in Turkey. Problem is that the traders calculate their prices with different base prices.

Small volumes are cheaper

Fewer and fewer suppliers are prepared to sell their raw nuts at the current price level. This week, the prices for natural kernels, 11-13 mm have again risen by 0.50 TRY/kg.

Contrary to this, there currently are more sellers than buyers in the export market. There are hardly any enquiries for larger delivery volumes. Exporters do, however, offer good prices for small volumes they already have in stock. This means that buyers who regularly purchase small volumes are currently getting away cheaper than buyers who purchase large volum

TEHRAN. Surprise in July was that Iran’s exports to the United Arab Emirates revived for pistachios, despite the ongoing disruptions. Exports to China have plummeted. Kernel shipments are gaining shares. Expectation is that a sharp decline in production will eat up the anticipated record carry-in supplies in 2026/2027.
